DESCRIPTION

Working on 9.4 with some 9.3

Working under the direction of the Database Administration Manager, contributes to all steps within the project lifecycle including customer requirements, design, construction, testing, implementation and support. The database engineer works independently or as part of a team and involves the Database Administration Manager on design/production impacting decisions or issues as necessary.

Required Skills:

Demonstrates strong problem solving skills.

Demonstrates strong written and communication skills.

CS or technical related degree preferred.

Ability to see the "big picture", operational mindset.

Knowledge of database theory / database modeling.

Able to work independently or as a member of a team.

Requires minimal supervision.

3-5 years of Informix Relational Database experience required.

2-3 years of MySQL or Oracle Relational Database experience a plus.

3-5 years of Unix Operating System experience.

3-5 years of Unix shell programming experience.
