If you are a DBA and only want to buy a single book to have as a reference, here's what I suggest:

DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows

DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows: DBA Guide, Reference, and Exam Prep (6th Edition)

Written by long time DB2 experts and DB2 evangelists, George Baklarz and Paul Zikopoulos, this book is the reference and guide that you will use over and over as you do your job!

DB2 for z/OS

DB2 Developer's Guide (5th Edition) by long time DB2 expert and consultant, Craig Mullins. This book keeps on selling and selling... so it may be that everyone who works on DB2 for z/OS already owns a copy! If you don't, you should!

Informix Dynamic Server

Administering Informix Dynamic Server: Building the Foundation by long time IDS expert Carlton Doe. At this point, this is the ONLY up to date IDS book that is available! Buy it because it WILL update you on all the changes in the product, but also, the more books that sell, the more likely it is that we'll have more IDS books published!

If you do not find that these books fill your needs... don't worry... we have many others! See our IBM IM Bookstore and the channelDB2.com DB2inBooks discussion group.
